The Stage 2 Airtec intercooler gained 36bhp and 38.4 lbft torque against the stock Renault intercooler on Megane 3 RS 250-275.

AIRTEC are proud to introduce the Stage 2 front mount intercooler upgrade for the pre-facelift & facelift Renault Megane 3 RS 250, 265 & 275. 
 
Designed to fit all pre-facelift models, this freer-flowing intercooler is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM set up.
 
Featuring a 60mm core design together with high-flow cast end tanks and lower alloy scoop to force air directly to the core, the AIRTEC intercooler offers much greater surface area, efficiency and volume over standard. Despite this improvement, it fits neatly behind the original bumper, requires no trimming or cutting and can be used with the original hoses.
 
As with all AIRTEC products, the intercooler was tested back-to-back on the dyno against the OEM item.
 
This showed a huge reduction in air charge temperatures over standard, as seen below:
 
Rolling Road test results – Carried out at AmD on the 19/01/16 – Ambient Temperature: 1 degree
Standard Intercooler:
 
Run 1 – Into intercooler: 147 degrees – Out of intercooler: 55 degrees
Run 2 – Into intercooler: 148 degrees – Out of intercooler: 58 degrees
Run 3 – Into intercooler: 146 degrees – Out of intercooler: 62 degrees
 
AIRTEC Intercooler:
Run 1 – Into intercooler: 157 degrees – Out of intercooler: 19 degrees
Run 2 – Into intercooler: 152 degrees – Out of intercooler: 18 degrees
Run 3 – Into intercooler: 155 degrees – Out of intercooler: 20 degrees
 
Test Results – The Stage 2 AIRTEC intercooler gained 36bhp and 38.4 lbft torque against the standard Renault intercooler.
 
The comprehensive fitting kit includes all the correct fixtures and fittings, step-by-step instructions with pictures and should take around 3-4 hours to complete.
 
The intercooler is available in Pro-Series Black finish (Natural Silver is no longer available) , with or without the AIRTEC logo.
